The confirmation of charges hearing in the case of Laurent Gbagbo before the International Criminal Court opened on the afternoon of February 19, 2013 and continued until February 28.

In partnership with the International Senior Lawyers Project, the Open Society Justice Initiative produced monitoring reports covering the hearings, in the first ICC hearings to involve a former head of state.
